Atlanta’s World of Prom on schedule; new registration procedures

World of Prom & Social Occasion Market, scheduled for August 3-7 in Atlanta is proceeding as scheduled with changes in registration procedures and in-facility requirements designed to support social distancing and crowd control.

In accordance with its Together Safely plan, the Market will be separated into two sessions to disperse traffic and avoid long lines to enter the building, with the goal of creating an environment that supports safety of all attendees and a comfortable environment for everyone to do business.

 Buyers must pre-register for one session, Session A – August 13-15, 2020, or Session B – August 16-18, 2020, and will be assigned a specific entry points to maximize all entrances to get buyers and exhibitors into the building as safely as possible. Special arrangements can be made for those buyers needing more than three days.

Additionally all attendees are required to wear CDC-approved face masks at all times while in or about the buildings, and will enter through a temperature check station and be scanned upon entry and exit each day during market to enable International Market Centers to adequately manage total market attendance and adhere to social distancing regulations.

New York Market going virtual

New York Bridal Market for Spring 21 will have a different look and a split-market approach for Spring ‘21 as The Knot Couture show has announced a virtual-only program with new dates of September 15-17, and The Bridal Council announced a virtual Bridal Luxury Market set for October 5-9.

The Knot Virtual Couture Show anticipates hosting a full schedule of events and collections from top bridal designers that will be curated and showcased on The Knot Couture Show website for an easy-to-navigate on-line shopping experience for bridal buyers in one centralized location.

The three-day event will also include runway shows and presentations hosted by The Knot editors, bridal trend round-ups, educational content from experts across the industry and panel discussions with industry leaders.

The Bridal Council’s NY Luxury Bridal Market is also planned as a virtual event October 5-9 for its members, with similar features such as live streaming, curated collections, trend round up and commentary.
