Maggie Sottero Designs hosted an exclusive fashion show showcasing Spring 2025 bridal fashions on July 17 in the courtyard of the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City.
Approximately 80+ boutiques were treated to an event of fabulous food, drink, an acrobatic display, and the striking collections of Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley and Rebecca Ingram, designed by Edric Woo, Chris Russell, Mark Russell and Patricia DeLaunay.

Following the fashion event, VOWS caught up with Maggie Sottero Vice President Global Sales and Marketing Christina Blanchette for details about the Spring 2025 collections.

VOWS:
What specific style trends of 2025 brides are reflected in your collections?

Christina:
The Spring 2025 Collections reflect a blend of classic and modern styles. Basque waists and standout skirts with intricate textures emphasize a bold yet elegant look. Cascading ruching inspired by sculptures offers a sophisticated and artistic touch. Classic floral and lace details with delicate bows and intricate and stunning hues bring a vibrant and unique flair to bridal fashion.

By collection:

The Maggie Sottero Collection plays with tradition and delicate details of voluminous skirts, 3D florals, and lace, tuning into the feeling of demure romance. Opening the door to a dreamlike Sunday kind of love, these gowns are soft as petals and timeless as handwritten love letters. Inspired by femininity and love in all its facets, this collection is enchanted to meet you.

The Sottero and Midgley Spring Collection radiates grace and detail with luxury fabrics, intricate beading, new textures, and dramatic colors. Guided by a yearning tethered to the soul, this love is inevitable. Gowns encapsulate an eternal serenity like heirloom jewels and exude a sense of royalty, crafted to be cherished for generations. Embody infatuation inspired by a passionate love that flows through time.

The Rebecca Ingram Collection flaunts fun necklines, flowing skirts, and playful draping designed to move where love takes you. Inspired by first dances on cobblestone streets, these gowns cue flashes of romance twirling through charming cities.

VOWS:
What are your projections for what boutiques can expect regarding brides and business for 2025?

Christina:
In 2025, brides will increasingly seek out customizable options and distinctive styles that reflect their personal tastes. This shift will drive boutiques to offer more bespoke services, allowing for greater personal expression through tailored designs, unique fabrics, and innovative silhouettes. Maggie Sottero’s "Personalize it!" program allows a bride to create her dream gown that reflects her most authentic self.

Changes can include lining or unlining the bodice, changing out fabric layers, adding/removing sleeves, customizing the length, and adding buttons down the train. However, if a bride is still not in love with her gown after choosing from the many personalization options, Maggie’s “Say Yes to The Request” program for our stores to help close the sale and give brides precisely what they envisioned for their gown.

At the same time, there will be a heightened demand for high-end designs that are produced with sustainability in mind. Brides will be looking for gowns crafted from lower-impact materials and produced using ethical practices, reflecting a broader trend toward environmental consciousness and social responsibility.

Maggie Sottero is a third-generation family-owned company committed to creating a more sustainable future for the next generation and beyond. By offering gowns made with lower-impact materials, planting a tree for every gown sold, and implementing systems change throughout the company as a commitment to being the change, disrupting the standard, and creating the future to ensure our brides’ love stories— and our planet— endure.
